Candace Nelson is a food entrepreneur and accomplished pastry chef known for co-founding Sprinkles, the world’s first cupcake bakery, and most recently, Pizzana, a Michelin Bib Gourmand Neo-Neapolitan pizzeria with two locations in Los Angeles. She is also the author of the New York Times Best Seller “The Sprinkles Baking Book,” executive producer of and judge on Netflix’s “Sugar Rush” and host of the podcast “Live to Eat.”

Fueled by her passion for supporting other entrepreneurs, Candace co-founded CN2 Ventures which invests in early stage and growth stage companies in the retail, food, direct-to-consumer and branded consumer product sectors, harnessing her knack for elevating simple concepts into breakthrough brands. Prior to founding Sprinkles, Candace pursued a career in investment banking but shifted gears to follow her passion and attend pastry school. Her love for approachable, nostalgic food drives her business endeavors and her admiration of contemporary art influences her branding philosophy.
